Meet the Team
Meet our dedicated team, passionate about empowering families in Leeds.

Laura Bromley
Founder & Director
Laura is a qualified mental health nurse and the driving force behind Communi-tea Wellness CIC. Her passion for community support spans two decades and began unexpectedly in 2005, when she took a job in a drug rehabilitation centre and discovered a natural talent for supporting people through some of the toughest chapters of their lives. She went on to work as a drug worker supporting individuals with Class A addictions and later worked across Yorkshire prisons on a police initiative to reduce burglary rates — work shaped both by her professional experience and her personal family history of addiction.
In 2015, Laura spent a year living in Valencia before returning to the UK to train as a mental health nurse, qualifying in 2018. After becoming a parent to two daughters — one born during the height of the pandemic in 2020 and another in 2023 — she gained first-hand insight into how isolating early parenthood can be.
This lived experience inspired the creation of Craftea, and later Communi-tea Wellness CIC. Laura now brings together her clinical background, community values, and belief in peer connection to create warm, inclusive, and supportive spaces where families can thrive.

Heidi Hannah
Creative Lead
Heidi joined Communi-tea Wellness in 2025, bringing the playful energy, creativity, and sheer sparkle that made CreARTives Art School & Gallery one of Meanwood’s most vibrant cultural spaces. A self-taught artist, Heidi grew from school-book doodler to exhibiting around the UK, all while running an art school where children routinely produce work that astonishes adults.
Before committing fully to the arts, Heidi tried what she affectionately calls her “ADHD buffet of careers,” including travel, sales, and customer service — all roles that honed her people skills and her ability to turn chaos into connection.
Heidi is passionately committed to supporting survivors of domestic violence, neurodiverse families, and children with SEN, creating welcoming creative environments where expression is celebrated in all its forms. At home, she leads a lively blended family of five children aged 10 to 21, giving her real-world expertise in organisation, empathy, and gentle crowd control.
Heidi brings colour, humour, and a deep care for people to every project — and she makes Communi-tea Wellness brighter simply by being in it.
