Our Core Values

At Communi-tea Wellness CIC, our values are at the heart of everything we do. They shape how we work, how we support one another and how we bring people together.

Creativity is Healing

We believe creativity is for everyone and can be a powerful tool for wellbeing. Through art, play, imagination and trying new things, people can express themselves, explore emotions, discover new interests and build confidence. We create opportunities for creativity to bring people together, strengthen communication, nurture parent–child relationships and support connection, growth and healing in ways that feel natural, meaningful and enjoyable..

Belonging

Everyone deserves to feel they belong somewhere. We create opportunities for people to find their people, build meaningful relationships and discover their own version of a village. We believe that connection is at the heart of wellbeing, and that no one should have to navigate life’s challenges feeling alone. Through shared experiences, friendly faces and welcoming spaces, we help people build friendships, feel part of something and develop a stronger sense of belonging. Whether someone is looking for support, companionship, a creative outlet or simply somewhere to enjoy a cuppa and a chat, we want Communi-tea Wellness CIC to be a place where they feel accepted, valued and connected to their community.

Compassion

We meet people where they are, with kindness, empathy and understanding. We recognise that everyone has their own story, and we want people to feel accepted, listened to and supported without fear of judgement.

Mental Wellbeing for Everyone

We believe mental health matters at every stage of life. We aim to make wellbeing support feel approachable, accessible and part of everyday life, helping people feel less alone and more able to navigate life’s challenges.

Inclusion, Acceptance and Accessibility

Everyone deserves to feel welcome, accepted and valued for who they are. We celebrate different identities, backgrounds, abilities and lived experiences, meeting people where they are with kindness, compassion and without judgement. Whether it’s offering mental health support, a cup of tea or a listening ear, we strive to create safe, accessible spaces where everyone feels respected, heard and able to be themselves.

Growing Together Through Connection

We believe everyone has something to offer and something to learn. By listening to lived experience, sharing skills and working alongside our community, we grow together and create opportunities for people to build confidence, resilience and a sense of purpose. We value the strength that comes from sharing ideas, supporting one another and learning from our differences, creating a community where everyone has the chance to thrive.

Who We’re Passionate About Supporting

LGBTQ+ Community
We’re passionate about creating welcoming, inclusive spaces where LGBTQ+ people can feel safe, accepted and valued. Through social groups and wellbeing activities, we aim to encourage connection, reduce isolation and help people feel comfortable being themselves.

Survivors of Domestic Abuse
We believe everyone deserves to feel safe, respected and supported. We’re passionate about helping survivors of domestic abuse access positive social connections, rebuild confidence and explore opportunities for wellbeing in a non-judgemental environment.

Refugees and People New to the Community
We want people who have had to leave their homes or are building a new life in an unfamiliar place to feel welcomed and connected. Community activities can offer opportunities to meet others, share experiences, explore interests and build a sense of belonging.

Women’s Wellbeing, Health and Empowerment
We’re passionate about supporting women’s mental health, physical wellbeing and equality. Through wellbeing activities, supportive groups, educational workshops and feminist projects, we aim to create opportunities for women to connect, share experiences, build confidence and feel empowered. From menstrual health and menopause awareness to challenging gender stereotypes and supporting women experiencing isolation, discrimination or domestic abuse, we want to help women feel heard, valued and supported through every stage of life.

Neurodiversity, Inclusion & Wellbeing
We’re passionate about creating inclusive, supportive spaces where neurodivergent people and those with special educational needs (SEN) and additional needs feel understood, accepted and valued. Through inclusive community groups, creative activities and wellbeing workshops, we want to reduce isolation, challenge stigma and help everyone feel that they belong.
